Session 4

The Unifying Judaizer

According to the prevailing, historical way of reading and interpreting Paul, "Judaizing" in any sense divides the people of God. But what if Paul viewed Judaizing as a way of unifying Jews and Gentiles? In this lecture, Ryan Lambert will present the idea that Paul's vision of Judaizing the nations was meant to bring proximity, unity, and shalom between Israel and the nations in light of Yeshua's death and resurrection. To support this thesis, he introduces four fundamental (and disruptive) ideas that seek to reconstruct and recover Paul's vision for unity in the kingdom of God. This message will inspire and encourage action among the disciples of Yeshua so that Paul's "Jew-ish" view of a diverse and unified kingdom can be advanced.
