What exactly is the kingdom? What happened to the message of the kingdom? Why did the church lose that hope? Could it have been because the kingdom is too Jewish?
While there are many signs that the kingdom will be revealed soon, we are still looking forward to the complete redemption. In the meantime, we have work to do.
As disciples of the Messiah, our communities have access to a foretaste of the Messianic Era. What is that foretaste of the kingdom, and how do we get it?
Paul's vision of Judaizing the nations was meant to bring proximity, unity, and shalom between Israel and the nations in light of Yeshua's death and resurrection. It looked very Jew-ish.
The kingdom of God is grander than any one person or organization. Why not work together, each of us using our God-given talents, to bring the kingdom of heaven?
Take a quick look at what's happening in the world today. Never before has the demonstration of hope and expectation of Yeshua's followers been more important.
We must always remember that we do not see clearly; we see functionally. In our world today, this is what makes a leader a leader. Achieving our goal is not the only objective.
